Volunteer
There are several ways to volunteer with Empowerment Today - Connect, Share, Inspire, Enhance.
Connect
Bring Empowerment Today workshops to your community. Contact a few nonprofit organizations so that they can connect with us to host workshops in your area. If you are not already affiliated with an organization (community group, church, etc), just contact some that are known to be active in your community.
Share Empowerment Today with friends, family and your community. Here's how:
- Download a link to our website
- Become a facebook Fan and invite all of your friends to Support our Cause on Facebook.
- Follow us on Twitter.
- Email a flier or link to your friends and family. Download Here.
- Print a few fliers to post in local community venues (library, community events board, church) .
Inspire
Become a volunteer instructor and teach a 1-2 hour workshop during an evening or weekend. Volunteer instructors must submit an application and meet the following requirements:
- Have experience teaching or speaking to groups.
- Have a basic knowledge of the financial or health concepts covered in the program. (Additional training will be provided.)
- Be committed to helping people educate themselves with a positive attitude.
- Have a willingness to unselfishly serve your community.
- Be willing to be videotaped facilitating the workshop. The best workshops will be used for our webinars. All workshops will be reviewed to ensure program continuity and quality.
- Take the online instructor course to ensure program continuity. Fees required. Course may be used to satisfy continuing education requirements (check with your program).
Please note: Workshops cannot be used to solicit your own products or services. A link to your website will be provided on the Volunteer page.
Enhance
Volunteer to support our administrative staff via the internet from anywhere in the country. Several areas are in need of volunteer support:
- Online research
- Outreach
- Fund raising
- Curriculum Development
- Program expansion
